DIXIE CRUISER'S LANCE WITT BENEFIT CRUISE-IN -Winder, Ga

We got rained out last September so the first cruise-in in 2010 will be COTA For Lance Witt! Dixie Cruisers have been joined by Cars and Coffee for this Cruise-In to dedicate the funds raised in benefit for Lance Witt, who is struggling with complications from his recent heart transplant. Car and motorcycle enthusiasts are getting behind this all over North Georgia to help defray the unbearable costs and concerns for Lance and his family.
There will be vendors, music, raffles and an Oldies Trivia game with prizes. Great Family Fun! Still Only $5 for entry and Free for attendees!

Lance has an appointment with Dr. Mahle today and if all goes well his feeding tube will be removed TODAY!! This is comes with mixed emotions, if the tube comes out the tough part will be little man adjusting to taking 15 meds by mouth. It has been easy up until now to send his medicine down via the feeding tube. If the tube comes out, we will need to allow for about 1 hour or so of drama trying to get a 6 year old to take all these meds by mouth. He will do I know but it will start off as a challenge. On the other hand it will be so nice to see Lance's face without the tube coming out of his nose. We will wait to see what the verdict is today. It all depends on if Dr. Mahle is pleased with his weight. I now we will adjust to him taking the meds by mouth, because thankfully Lance learned pretty early how to swallow pills. However, not all his meds can come in pill form. The ones that don't I am sure don't taste good.

Lance and Emory are doing great and getting funnier by the minute. Thanks for all the support. Doug and I are doing great too! We have our moments, but that is to be expected with all the stress we have been under!!! I am so glad to be where we are now! Thanks for all the answered prayers!!!
